Introduction
TDCP intends to develop a Tourist Resort at Uchali Lake, saltwater lake in Soon Sakaser Valley in the southern Salt Range area. Sakaser, the highest mountain in the Salt Range looms over the lake. The Soon Valley provides a unique sanctuary for a variety of migratory birds in winter and consists of beautiful lakes, waterfalls, forests, natural pools and ponds. Soon Valley is also blessed with ancient civilisation, natural resources and fertile farms offering visitors a unique experience of extraordinary serene landscape. Thus, development and management of these resources will lead to socio–economic benefits while maintaining cultural integrity, essential eco-system, and bio-diversity with life support systems
