Construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road


  • The proposed alignment of Rawalpindi Ring Road originates from Channi Bridge on G.T Road near Rawat, South-West side of Rawalpindi City and terminates at Thalian Interchange of Motorway (M-2) whereas, two links have also been proposed. The detail of alignment is as under:
  • From G.T. Road (pprox.. 5-Km from Channi Bridge) terminating at Motorway M-2 near Thalian (32 KM).
  • New Link from Rawat Junction at G.T. Road to proposed Ring Road across DHA (8.82Km)
  • Dualization of exiting link i.e. Fateh Jang Road from M-1 to G.T. Road (6.50 Km)
