Introduction
Rawalpindi is the 4th largest city of the Pakistan with population of 5.41 million (Population census, 2017). Due to expanding size of population of the city and ever increasing economic activities, the traffic volume is increasing at greater pace that results in traffic congestion and safe parking issues. The instant project is being envisaged to overcome the traffic issues like unavailability of safe parking place specifically. Existing RDA parking plaza is located in the economic hub of the city that attracts various traders, suppliers/buyers, and merchants which results in augmented demand for parking space. The current capacity of parking plaza is ubanle to meet that demand. Therefore, It is planned to constrcut two additional stories on the existing parking palza under PPP Mode to meet the demand for parking facility.

Current Status
Project Development Facility was approved by the Executive Committee of the Punjab PPP Authority on 5th May, 2020. RFP has been issued on 18th June, 2020 to pre-qualified firms for development of project proposal and transaction execution and last date of submission of proposal is 27th June, 2020 before 11:30 A.M.
